Best Black and Grey: Best tattoo where colored pigments are not used: Only black, shades of grey, and possibly white. The design, size, etc., are secondary.

Best Weird/Funny: Best tattoo with unusual and quirky (preferably shocking 🙂) motifs. Unusual placement of the tattoo can also be a criterion.

Best Old School: Best tattoo with a «vintage» motif. Originally limited to the five basic colors: green, yellow, red, brown, and black, but we are liberal here – the motif is crucial. The world of motifs from Sailor Jerry and the old-school guys is the keyword here.

Best Color: Best tattoo in colors. The jury will primarily focus on the use of color.

Best of the Weekend: Best tattoo created entirely during the event.

The same tattoo may fit into multiple categories, and it’s entirely possible to exhibit the same work several times. However, we have an unwritten rule that if you’ve won an award for the tattoo, you settle for that and give others a chance. If you have multiple tattoos you want to exhibit in the same category, that’s perfectly fine, but remember to get a participant number for each tattoo.
